DC Universe has found its Crazy Jane for the Doom Patrol series.
According to Deadline, Diane Guerrero (Orange is the New Black, Jane the Virgin, Superior Donuts) has joined the DC Universe Doom Patrol as Crazy Jane.
Crazy Jane is a character that suffers from the case of multiple personality disorder, with each of her 64 distinct personas manifesting a different a superpower.
Guerrero joins April Bowlby as Elasti-Woman, Jake Michaels as Robotman, Dwain Murphy as Negative Man and Bruno Bichir as Dr. Niles Caulder.
The Doom Patrol will be introduced in the fifth episode of Titans, which was written by Geoff Johns. The show is set to premiere on the DC Universe streaming service next year.
Jeremy Carver is writing the show, a reimagining of one of DC’s strangest group of outcasts: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby) and Crazy Jane (Guerrero). Led by the mysterious Dr. Niles Caulder they’re called into action by the ultimate hero for the digital age, Cyborg. Banding together these rejects find themselves on a mission that will take them to the weirdest and most unexpected corners of the DC universe.
