Enter Unbreakable, The Beast, The Glass . They are all in one room.
When M. Night Shyamalan started with Unbreakable in 2000, who would have thought we will be getting a triology. Well guess what, the last installment titled Glass will hit theaters in 2019 and we will see our favorite actors like Bruce Wilis, Samuel L Jackson and James McAvoy.
“We were chatting and he said, ‘Well, maybe if this one does well, we’ll do another one,’ ” McAvoy told EW in a recent interview. “I was like, ‘Really? We’re going to do a sequel to Split?’ He was like, ‘Yeah, you know, bring back David and all that.’ And I was like, David?” The filmmaker meant Bruce Willis’ David Dunn, the workingman superhero of Unbreakable. That’s when McAvoy knew: “Oh, wait a minute…”
Sarah Paulson is a new addition to the cast, playing a psychiatrist aiming to help the trio. “She deals with people that think they’re comic book characters,” Shyamalan detailed of the character. “It’s kind of the modern-day equivalent of ‘I think I’m Jesus’ or ‘I’m an emperor.’ ”
Also returning for the film is Anya Taylor-Joy, who played Casey in Split, Crumb’s victim who was able to escape his clutches.
Glass lands in theaters on January 18, 2019.
